Christmas markets in the Black Forest

Fairy lights, Christmas trees with colourful baubles, Christmas decorations in the shop windows. Wooden toys, candles and nativity scene decorations attract attention at the Christmas markets, children’s faces are covered in pink and white candy floss. A fine aroma of mulled wine and warm chestnuts wafts over the market: in the villages and towns of the Black Forest, the pre-Christmas period is perhaps even cosier than elsewhere.
