Karlsruhe
Karlsruhe is located in the middle of a so-called “hotspot” of biodiversity. In the middle of one of 30 regions in Germany where there are a particularly large number of different habitats – and therefore also a particularly rich flora and fauna.
Alluvial forests and wet meadows, sandy grasslands and inland dunes are valuable habitats that need to be preserved. For this reason, NABU is committed to the six-year nature conservation project “Upper Rhine lifeline – natural diversity from wet to dry”.
