Entry/Exit System (EES) at FKB
Airport
The Federal Police has begun introducing the new Entry/Exit System (EES) at Karlsruhe/Baden-Baden Airport. This will digitise entry and exit controls for travellers from third countries.
- In future, a live photo will be taken, fingerprints recorded and travel data stored upon entry. The previous border control stamps will be phased out by April 2026.
- Nothing will change for travellers with EU nationality.
The photo shows Jürgen Henseler (Head of the Offenburg Federal Police Headquarters), Andreas Schweizer (Managing Director of Baden-Airpark GmbH) and the first FKB passenger whose departure was recorded with EES.
