EU nationals and Swiss nationals need an electronic travel authorisation (ETA) in addition to their passport to travel to Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

Applications can be submitted online. The easiest way to apply is with the UK ETA App.

An ETA (Electronic Travel Authorisation) currently costs £16 per application (approx. 18 euros), allows multiple trips and is valid for two years or until your passport expires – whichever comes first.

More information about the new ETA programme can be found on the official UK government website. Click here to go directly to the application form.

The processing time can take up to three days. It is best to find out in good time before your next trip to London.
