The website operator has a legitimate interest in the storage of cookies to ensure an optimized service provided free of technical errors. If other cookies (such as those used to analyze your surfing behavior) are also stored, they will be treated separately in this privacy policy.

5. Analytics and advertising

Google Analytics

This website uses functions of the web analysis service Google Analytics. The provider of this service is Google Ireland Limited („Google“), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.

Google Analytics uses so-called “cookies”. These are text files that are stored on your computer and that allow an analysis of the use of the website by you. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is usually transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there.

Google Analytics cookies are stored based on Art. 6 (1) (f) DSGVO. The website operator has a legitimate interest in analyzing user behavior to optimize both its website and its advertising.

IP anonymization

We have activated the IP anonymization feature on this website. Your IP address will be shortened by Google within the European Union or other parties to the Agreement on the European Economic Area prior to transmission to the United States. Only in exceptional cases is the full IP address sent to a Google server in the US and shortened there. Google will use this information on behalf of the operator of this website to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity, and to provide other services regarding website activity and Internet usage for the website operator. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with any other data held by Google.

Browser plugin

You can prevent these cookies being stored by selecting the appropriate settings in your browser. However, we wish to point out that doing so may mean you will not be able to enjoy the full functionality of this website. You can also prevent the data generated by cookies about your use of the website (incl. your IP address) from being passed to Google, and the processing of these data by Google, by downloading and installing the browser plugin available at the following link: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en.

Objecting to the collection of data

You can prevent the collection of your data by Google Analytics by clicking on the following link. An opt-out cookie will be set to prevent your data from being collected on future visits to this site: Disable Google Analytics.

Outsourced data processing

We have entered into an agreement with Google for the outsourcing of our data processing and fully implement the strict requirements of the German data protection authorities when using Google Analytics.

Demographic data collection by Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics’ demographic features. This allows reports to be generated containing statements about the age, gender, and interests of site visitors. This data comes from interest-based advertising from Google and third-party visitor data. This collected data cannot be attributed to any specific individual person. You can disable this feature at any time by adjusting the ads settings in your Google account or you can forbid the collection of your data by Google Analytics as described in the section “Refusal of data collection”.

Google reCAPTCHA

We use „Google reCAPTCHA“ (hereinafter referred to as „reCAPTCHA“) on our websites. The provider is Google Ireland Limited („Google“), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.

reCAPTCHA is used to check whether the data entered on our website (such as on a contact form) has been entered by a human or by an automated program. To do this, reCAPTCHA analyzes the behavior of the website visitor based on various characteristics. This analysis starts automatically as soon as the website visitor enters the website. For the analysis, reCAPTCHA evaluates various information (e.g. IP address, how long the visitor has been on the website, or mouse movements made by the user). The data collected during the analysis will be forwarded to Google.

The reCAPTCHA analyses take place completely in the background. Website visitors are not advised that such an analysis is taking place.

Data processing is based on Art. 6 (1) (f) DSGVO. The website operator has a legitimate interest in protecting its site from abusive automated crawling and spam.

For more information about Google reCAPTCHA and Google’s privacy policy, please visit the following links: https://www.google.com/intl/de/policies/privacy/ and https://www.google.com/recaptcha/intro/android.html.

6. Newsletter

NOTES ON THE NEWSLETTER AND CONSENT

The following information explains the contents of our newsletter as well as the registration, dispatch and statistical evaluation procedures and your rights of objection.

CONTENTS OF THE NEWSLETTER

We send newsletters, e-mails and other electronic notifications with promotional information (hereinafter “newsletter”) only with the consent of the recipients or other legal permission. This is also the case, for example, if you have already been a guest of ours, have left your e-mail address in the process and have not revoked the receipt of newsletters (e.g. by unsubscribing via the link in each newsletter).

In addition, our newsletters contain information about our current offers and events, competitions, interesting general news and tips on travel and in particular about Karlsruhe Baden-Baden Airport.

DOUBLE-OPT-IN AND LOGGING

Registration for our newsletter is carried out in a so-called double-opt-in process. This means that after registration you will receive an e-mail asking you to confirm your registration. This confirmation is necessary so that no one can register with a foreign e-mail address.

The registrations to the newsletter are logged in order to be able to prove the registration process according to the legal requirements. This includes the storage of the registration and confirmation time, as well as the IP address. Changes to your stored data are also logged.

USE OF EXTERNAL SERVICE PROVIDERS

The creation, dispatch and evaluation of the newsletter is carried out by our newsletter service provider
Dreimaleins Marketing GmbH,
Rheinstraße 111, D-76532 Baden-Baden, Germany
(hereinafter referred to as newsletter service provider).

For the fulfillment of the order, the newsletter service provider uses Agnitas AG as a subcontractor, which operates professional data centers in Germany and the EU according to the highest security standards and sends e-mails. Your data is also stored and processed there and is protected in the best possible way against unauthorized access by complex security measures.

You can find the privacy policy here: https://www.agnitas.de/datenschutzerklaerung/

Our newsletter service provider uses the stored information to create, send and evaluate the newsletters on our behalf. Furthermore, our newsletter service provider may also use this data to optimize or improve its own services, e.g. to technically optimize the dispatch, display or content of the newsletters.
However, our newsletter service provider does not use the data of our newsletter recipients to write to them itself or to pass them on to external third parties.

We trust in the reliability and IT and data security of our newsletter service provider. He commits himself to comply with the EU data protection regulations. Furthermore, we have concluded an order data processing contract with our newsletter service provider. This is a contract in which he undertakes to protect the data of our users, to process it on our behalf in accordance with his data protection regulations and, in particular, not to pass it on to external third parties.

REGISTRATION DATA

To subscribe to the newsletter, it is sufficient to provide your e-mail address. If you wish, you can add personal information such as name or first name at any later time.

STATISTICAL COLLECTION AND ANALYSES

The newsletters contain so-called “measurement pixels”, i.e. small files that are retrieved from the server when the newsletter is opened. As part of this retrieval, technical information, such as information about the browser or your terminal device used or whether the newsletters are opened, when they are opened and which links are clicked, is collected. On the one hand, this information is used for the technical improvement of the services, e.g. to improve the readability of newsletters on a smartphone. On the other hand, this data can be used to provide recipients with individual offers that correspond to their interests.

CANCELLATION/REVOCATION

You can cancel the receipt of our newsletter at any time, i.e. revoke your consents. At the same time, your consent to the sending of the newsletter and to the statistical analyses will expire. For documentation purposes, your stored data will not be deleted. However, you can request a deletion at any time – by e-mail to datenschutz@baden-airpark.de. All personal data will only then be deleted and will no longer be available; due to documentation obligations, only the deletion will be logged with your name or e-mail address.

You will find a link to unsubscribe from the newsletter in every newsletter we send out. To prevent accidental unsubscriptions, you must confirm your unsubscription separately. You will then be immediately unsubscribed from the newsletter and will not receive any further e-mails to the unsubscribed e-mail address – you will also not receive any confirmation of your unsubscription.

You can also send your unsubscribe request by e-mail to datenschutz@baden-airpark.de. Please indicate the newsletter from which you wish to unsubscribe. Please also note that a manual unsubscribe may take several working days.

LEGAL BASIS BASIC DATA PROTECTION REGULATION

In accordance with the requirements of the Basic Data Protection Regulation (DSGVO) in force since May 25, 2018, we inform you that the consent to the sending of e-mail addresses is based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a, 7 DSGVO as well as § 7 para. 2 No. 3, or para. 3 UWG.

The use of our newsletter service provider to perform statistical surveys and analyses as well as logging of the registration process, are based on our legitimate interests pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DSGVO. Our interest is directed towards the use of a user-friendly as well as secure newsletter system that serves our business interests as well as meets the expectations of the users.

We would also like to point out that you can object to the future processing of your personal data in accordance with the legal requirements pursuant to Art. 21 DSGVO at any time. The objection can be made in particular against the processing for purposes of direct advertising.

8. Social Media

Data processing through social networks

We maintain publicly available profiles in social networks. The individual social networks we use can be found below.

Social networks such as Facebook, Google+ etc. can generally analyse your user behaviour comprehensively if you visit their website or a website with integrated social media content (e.g. like buttons or banner ads). When you visit our social media pages, numerous data protection-relevant processing operations are triggered.

In detail: If you are logged in to your social media account and visit our social media page, the operator of the social media portal can assign this visit to your user account. Under certain circumstances, your personal data may also be recorded if you are not logged in or do not have an account with the respective social media portal. In this case, this data is collected, for example, via cookies stored on your device or by recording your IP address.

Using the data collected in this way, the operators of the social media portals can create user profiles in which their preferences and interests are stored. This way you can see interest-based advertising inside and outside of your social media presence. If you have an account with the social network, interest-based advertising can be displayed on any device you are logged in to or have logged in to.

Please also note that we cannot retrace all processing operations on the social media portals. Depending on the provider, additional processing operations may therefore be carried out by the operators of the social media portals. Details can be found in the terms of use and privacy policy of the respective social media portals.

Legal basis

Our social media appearances should ensure the widest possible presence on the Internet. This is a legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR. The analysis processes initiated by the social networks may be based on divergent legal bases to be specified by the operators of the social networks (e.g. consent within the meaning of Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR).

Responsibility and assertion of rights

If you visit one of our social media sites (e.g., Facebook), we, together with the operator of the social media platform, are responsible for the data processing operations triggered during this visit. You can in principle protect your rights (information, correction, deletion, limitation of processing, data portability and complaint) vis-à-vis us as well as vis-à-vis the operator of the respective social media portal (e.g. Facebook).

Please note that despite the shared responsibility with the social media portal operators, we do not have full influence on the data processing operations of the social media portals. Our options are determined by the company policy of the respective provider.

Storage time

The data collected directly from us via the social media presence will be deleted from our systems as soon as the purpose for their storage lapses, you ask us to delete it, you revoke your consent to the storage or the purpose for the data storage lapses. Stored cookies remain on your device until you delete them. Mandatory statutory provisions – in particular, retention periods – remain unaffected.

We have no control over the storage duration of your data that are stored by the social network operators for their own purposes. For details, please contact the social network operators directly (e.g. in their privacy policy, see below).
